Well...I'm sitting here and I can't decide, so here goes!
I hope for this blog to not only be my thoughts, but a record of our journey on the way to West Africa, and a way to look back and remember the faithfulness of God.
First, will you just look at this little girl? We spent time with her in Niger, West Africa a month ago and I just love this picture. She has one of those faces that sticks in my mind like glue.
Image of God. I've tried to think with that perspective lately. I forget to see people with those eyes, that each of us are really CREATED. Honestly, I don't see people as being created in the image of God very well at all. Those I am having trouble getting along with today are CREATED, those two homeless guys Brian and Kyle who we hung out with on Tuesday are CREATED, those that see me as an American dollar sign are CREATED. Imaged into God's design and purpose and plan.
Crazy.
But oh so good.
