Well, we had an interesting and relaxing Christmas and New Year's break, but now we have to get back to studying and learning French. We started school this past Tuesday and after two weeks off, it seems like we've forgotten many things. I know that's not quite true, but it is difficult to get the ball rolling once again. Many of the friends we had made last semester did not return to school, and now we are making new ones. It's just like the beginning of school all over again... well, except this time, we're the ones who can speak some French while the other students are the lost ones.
Though the French is still difficult, Katie and I are both definitely progressing. When I first came I couldn't understand a single word of the weekly Bible study I was attending. This past week I actually answered a couple questions and even prayed. This Monday Katie will be giving her first meditation in French in front of our class. It should be good.

Have a good week with getting back into the swing of things! We had that last week and it went pretty well although it is hard to get back to school/work schedule, especially for the kids!

Sounds like you guys are doing well. I read all of your blog. It sounds like you are meeting wonderful people and going to so many special places. I am happy for you. You are doing great with your French lessons, I can tell by the confidance you speak.
Sounds like you had a great Christmas. It was great to be able to have Katie's sister there. Going to eat and share with the gypies sounds like a wonderful experience to be able to remember.
I am doing well. I went to Maryland to see my newest granddaughter. She was six months old when I got to see her, but, that didn't matter to me. I had a great time. I flew. Boy, did we go high. I figured that if something happened we were already close enough to him we were safe. LOL!
Hope, things continue to go good for both of you. With God guiding you I know every thing will continue well for you. Not to say there will be rough times ahead, knowing he is there with you and giving what you need, helps to give you a feeling of security.
I think of you all the time and am glad you are getting to have all of the wonderful times. Hope your New Year will be good for you.
Love Pat
I just caught up on all your blog entries since your apartment tour. I love the pics of the Christmas lights. It sounds like you 2 are doing great with your French. Keep the posts coming as well as the pictures.
