She Said What?
Well, last Monday Katie gave her first meditation in French. It was great. She really did an excellent job at the story she told as well as at her pronunciation of "la langue française." However, a couple of the students didn't follow the story very well. You see, Katie shared a story about a friend of hers named Derya. The story actually told about two different "Deryas..." Derya #1 and Derya #2. The problem, though, is that in French "Derya" kind of sounds like the word "derrière" which means of course, one's backside. The two students were very confused on what Katie was trying to explain in speaking about her two "derrières." Oh, the joys of language learning...
